CNN Analyst Warns Trump’s Guilty Verdict Will ‘Massively Backfire’ on Biden and Democrats

CNN political analyst Scott Jennings has warned that the political persecution of President Donald Trump is going to “massively backfire” on the Democrats.

Jennings believes Trump’s guilty verdict will seriously hurt Democrat President Joe Biden’s re-election chances in November, Breitbart reported.

The former Bush administration official made this prediction following Thursday’s verdict in New York.

A Manhattan jury delivered a guilty verdict for Trump on 34 charges in his “hush money” case.

While many on the Left were celebrating, Jennings warned that it could increase support for Trump in the GOP.

“Well, if my phone and the text messages I’m receiving are any indication, every Republican in the country is matter in a wet hen,” Jennings said.

“I mean, people who are decidedly non-MAGA, not Trump fans, are blowing up tonight saying this case never should have been brought, this is ridiculous charges,” he added.

Like many others, Jennings believes that the case against Trump was a complete political sham.

“It was an egregious use of the criminal justice system,” Jennings said of the case.

“I’m hearing people say I had no intention of voting for Donald Trump, and now I am.

“And then, if you ask the Trump campaign, what’s happening?

“They literally broke their online donation portal because people were rushing to the internet to save their money in the minutes after the verdict.”

As CBS News shared, the Trump campaign reportedly raked in $34.8 million in the six hours following the verdict.

In fact, Trump’s fundraising site was so inundated during that time that it crashed.

This comes in addition to the $76 million that Trump and the GOP raised in April, which outpaced Biden and the Democrats for the first time in the race.

Jennings believes all of this is a sign of good things to come.

“So I think there’s a real chance here,” Jennings said.

“It’s going to massively backfire on the Democrats and help Donald Trump.”

The worst thing for Democrats is that Trump is now free to speak his mind after the trial now the “gag order” is no longer imposed.

Trump is free to call out what he sees as corruption in the weaponized justice system.

The 45th president did just that outside the courthouse Thursday, Fox News reported.

“This was a rigged, disgraceful trial,” Trump blasted.

“The real verdict is going to be Nov. 5 by the people,” he said of Election Day.

“You have a Soros-backed DA and the whole thing.

“We didn’t do anything wrong.

“I’m a very innocent man. And it’s OK.

“I’m fighting for our country,” Trump continued.

“I’m fighting for our Constitution.

“Our whole country is being rigged right now,” the 45th president added.

“This was done by the Biden administration in order to wound or hurt an opponent, a political opponent,” he later hammered Biden.

“And I think it’s just a disgrace”

The Left was hoping to knock Trump out of the running with this verdict.

Instead, they may have just unleashed a new wave of support that will blindside Biden and his campaign.
