According to multiple reports, President Joe Biden showed his ire for Donald Trump during a campaign event in Connecticut on Monday, blasting the GOP frontrunner for being a “convicted felon” who is conducting an “all-out assault” on the justice system.
“For the first time in American history, a former president that is a convicted felon is now seeking the office of the presidency,” Biden said at the Greenwich, Connecticut fundraising speech. “But as disturbing as that is, more damaging is the all-out assault Donald Trump is making on the American system of justice.”
According to NBC, Biden also said, “it’s reckless and dangerous for anyone to say that’s rigged just because they don’t like” the outcome of a trial. “Something snapped in this guy for real” after the 2020 election, Biden continued. “It’s literally driving him crazy* […] unhinged.”
As THAIMBC previously reported, the jury for the criminal trial of Donald Trump reached a unanimous verdict on Thursday May 30th, finding the former president guilty of 34 counts of falsifying his business records in connection with the alleged Stormy Daniels hush money payment. Judge Juan Merchan must now decide his sentence, which can range from probation to years in prison.
“This was a disgrace,” he began. “A rigged, disgraceful trial. The real verdict is going to be November 5th by the people.”
In September 2022, Biden held his infamous “Maga Extremism” speech that gave rise to the “Dark Brandon” meme.
“Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic,” Biden said during the speech, adding that the Republican Party is now “dominated, driven, and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans.”
“MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution,” he went on. “MAGA forces are determined to take the country backwards.”
