On Saturday, a mob of pro-Hamas, anti-Zionist demonstrators surrounded the White House in Washington, DC to protest against US aid to Israel. Many of the protestors were organized by openly Marxist groups.

In videos posted on X, protesters can be seen chanting “Hey Joe Biden you’re a sell out, pack your bags and get the hell out,” and “hey Joe Biden you’re a liar, we demand a ceasefire.” A banner held by protesters read “Jihad of Victory or Martyrdom,” which is a quote they attribute to Al-Qassam, the military arm of Hamas.
Another chant called for Hezbollah to “kill another Zionist now.”

Police authorities have reportedly responded with “smoke bomb flares.”

One of the groups organizing and promoting the event is the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), which advertised the demonstration four days prior. Other promoters include the ANSWER Coalition.

Protestors were transported to DC on buses, in a logistics operation organized by the ANSWER Coalition. Protestors were directed to buy tickets to DC from cities across the Midwest and Northeast on their website.

According to Influence Watch, the ANSWER Coalition is a “fiscally-sponsored project of Progress Unity Fund.” The latter is associated with the Workers World Party which refers to itself as “a revolutionary Marxist-Leninist party.” The Party for Socialism and Liberation was a “break-away” group from the Workers World Party, and has publicly supported Vladimir Lenin and Mao Zedong.
The protest has been endorsed by the National Students for Justice in Palestine group, which has ties to Shut It Down for Palestine and the Singham Network donor portfolio. The latter groups have been shown to be deeply involved with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
