Kevin Spacey Says He’s “Many Millions” in Debt and is Losing His House

Disgraced actor Kevin Spacey broke down in tears on an episode of Piers Morgan’s show “Uncensored” that released today over his legal battles, which he said has caused him to foreclose on his home, has sent him into “many millions” of debt, and has nearly bankrupted him multiple times.

News broadcaster Piers Morgan asked Spacey, the Oscar-winning actor who has appeared in numerous blockbuster films, where he now lives. “Well it’s funny you ask that question,” Spacey whimpers through tears, “Because this week where I have been living in Baltimore is being foreclosed on, my house is being sold at auction.”

He explained that his family, including his two children, has been his home since 2016 when they traveled there to shoot Netflix’s House of Cards.

He said there had been “a couple of times” where he thought he would have to file for bankruptcy, but so far has escaped that fate. When asked how much money he has, Spacey replied flatly, “None.”

“You have some sense of legal bills,” Spacey said. “I still owe a lot of legal bills.”

You’re actually in debt?”

Yes.”

“Do you mind me asking how much you owe?”

“It’s considerable.”

“Millions?”

Many millions, yes. The house itself is many millions.”

“What are you going to do?”

“Get back on the horse. Get back on the horse.”

In May, Spacey went on the record denying new accusations of sexual harassment and assault. “I’ve got nothing left to hide,” Spacey told UK journalist Dan Wootton. The accusations were leveled by men featured in a documentary released shortly after his denial. “I can’t go through this again, allowing myself to be baselessly attacked without defending myself,” he went on.

“I’ve never told someone that if they give me sexual favors, then I will help them out with their career, never,” he added. He has admitted, however, that he has made “clumsy” passes at men in the past and that he has flirted with men in their 20s. “I’ve clearly hooked up with some men, who thought they might get ahead in their careers by having a relationship with me,” he said.

Spacey was virtually exiled from doing acting work when Hollywood blacklisted* him after multiple sexual assault accusations emerged. Actor Anthony Rapp began the avalanche when he claimed Spacey made a sexual advance at him when he was 14. A full timeline of his legal challenges can be viewed here.
