Maxine Waters Says DEI is Important Because It Helps Black Prosecutors Go after Trump

Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters said Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is important because black prosecutors are going after former president Donald Trump.

In a clip posted to X, Waters cited Leticia James, Tanya Chutkan, and Fani Willis as examples of why DEI is important.

“If we’re ever to change the criminal justice system and get some justice, we’ve got to be in there,” Waters said.

“We’ve got to be educated, and that’s why we’re never going to give up because now we see what it means.”

“When they go low, black women are going to law school,” Waters continued.

Commenters swiftly ripped Waters over her remarks. “Black MARXIST prosecutors are going after Trump and conservatives,” one X user quipped.

Another said, “She’s basically saying it doesn’t matter how corrupt they are because DEI is more important, lovely.”

“They don’t hide it anymore,” one user posted.

Water’s remarks were echoed by MSNBC host Joy Reid earlier this year when she said criminal trials against Trump are a “poetic” racial reckoning.

“But for me, there is something wonderfully poetic about the fact … the first person to actually criminally prosecute Donald Trump is a black Harvard grad,” Reid said.

“… Donald Trump is being held to account by the very multicultural, multiracial democracy that he’s trying to dismantle,” she added.

“… It says something good about our country that we’re still capable of having that happen.”

“Go DEI. My DEIs are bringing it home,” she continued.

Reid was immediately roasted on X, with many accusing her of being a “race baiter”

“Race baiter Joy Reid is an awful human being,” Gunther Eagleman said.

“Joy Reid is NUTTY. She is excited because it is ‘black people’ that are prosecuting a ‘white man’ in Donald Trump,” Brandon Tatum said of Reid’s “racist” rant.

“Imagine if a white person said that ‘I am glad a jury of white people is locking up ne***es,’” he continued.

“Joy Reid is the most racist person on TV…PERIOD!”

Democrats have boasted about DEI’s benefits, despite its discriminatory nature and reverse racism.

For instance, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology became the university to eliminate its DEI hiring requirement because “they don’t work.”

Meanwhile, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Board of Trustees voted unanimously to cut DEI programs because they were creating a division.

Republicans introduced a comprehensive bill to dismantle DEI programs across the federal bureaucracy this week.

The 48-page “Dismantle DEI Act” seeks to ensure equal protection and prevent racism , The Daily Wire reported.

The bill was co-introduced by Ohio Rep. J.D. Vance, who slammed the e DEI agenda as a “destructive ideology that breeds hatred and racial division.”

The DEI “has no place in our federal government or anywhere else in our society,” he said.
