Elon Musk ‘Fully’ Endorses Trump, Makes ‘Sizable Donation’ to Super PAC

X boss Elon Musk has just declared he is “fully” endorsing President Donald Trump’s re-election bid following Saturday’s assassination attempt.

Musk is among a growing number of patriots to declare their support for Trump following the shooting at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Americans watched in horror as the gunman opened fire and Trump was shot in the ear while speaking at the event before hitting the ground.

However, in a moment that will go down in history, Trump definitely rose with his fist in the air and blood streaming down his face to urge his supporters to “fight!”

The defining scenes proved to even his most ardent critics that Trump is fighting for America and something larger than himself.

One of the most prominent figures to declare support for Trump after the attack was Musk.

After Saturday’s assassination attempt, Musk said in a post on X that “the last time we had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt.”

“I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery,” Musk wrote on X 30 minutes after Trump was shot.

Trump escaped serious injury, suffering a wound to his right ear, but one person was killed and another severely injured, according to reports.

The gunman was also killed.

Musk also slammed the Secret Service for not thwarting the sniper, reposting a tweet from Jack Posobiec who asked:

“How was a sniper with a full rifle kit allowed to bear crawl onto the closest roof to a presidential nominee?”

“Extreme incompetence or it was deliberate,” Musk wrote.

“Either way, the SS leadership must resign.”

Musk took aim at the director of the Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, reposting a tweet containing her online biography that indicated her prior job before taking over the Secret Service as senior director at PepsiCo.

“So before being put in charge of protecting the PRESIDENT, she was guarding bags of Cheetos …” Musk wrote.

In response to a post from someone asking, “How the hell was such an obvious line of sight not secured,” Musk wrote: “Exactly.”

Musk’s endorsement comes after he reportedly made a major contribution to a political group backing Trump in the 2024 election.

Bloomberg News reported Friday that Musk donated a “sizeable amount” of money to America PAC.

The super PAC is required to disclose its list of donors on July 15, according to the outlet.

Completing something of a Black Friday for Democrats, the story broke just hours after the New York Times reported that major donors had frozen $90 million pledged donations commitments to President Joe Biden’s top super PAC.

It comes as Democrat donors now believe Biden’s campaign is finished.

The donation from Musk is a change of heart on his previous position.

Just four months ago, Musk said he was staying on the sidelines and wouldn’t donate, or presumably endorse, either Trump or Biden.

“Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US President,” Musk said in March.

Citing anonymous sources “close to the matter,” Bloomberg on Friday evening broke the potentially game-changing news that Musk had given money to America PAC.

The PAC is largely focused on “ground-game” initiatives, such as voter-canvassing and get-out-the-vote efforts.

Among the constellation of Trump-backing groups, America PAC is spending the most money of any of them on direct voter outreach.

The amount of Musk’s donation wasn’t disclosed.

However, Bloomberg said sources “characterized the figure as a sizable amount.”

Per Federal Election Commission rules, the PAC will provide its updated list of donors on Monday.

While super PACs aren’t allowed to contribute directly to candidates or parties, or “coordinate” their efforts, they can collect unlimited contributions.

With a Forbes-estimated net worth of $250 billion, Musk has obvious potential to fundamentally alter a fundraising war in which Democrats were already reeling from the mushrooming effects of Biden’s disastrous performance in his June 27 debate with Trump.

The situation has only been compounded following Biden’s subsequent poor interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos and gaffe-filled NATO summit press events on Thursday.

The donation seemingly completes a political metamorphosis from Democrat to Republican.

Musk has said he voted for Barack Obama, gave money to and voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016, and voted for Joe Biden in 2020.

However, Musk has displayed growing discontent with Democrats’ approach to a variety of issues.

One of them is border control: Earlier this year, Musk told an audience that “unvetted immigration at large scale is a recipe for disaster.”

He’s also called out Democrats’ opposition to photo-ID requirements for voting, saying the “far left” wants to make it “impossible to prove voter fraud.”

Over the weekend, he expressed dismay at Biden’s commitment to veto a bill that would require proof of citizenship to vote.

Saturday’s assassination attempt against Trump will undoubtedly have a seismic impact on the direction of the November elections.

Trump’s response to the attack could bring some much-needed unity to America that even his critics cannot ignore.
