The sniper who killed President Donald Trump’s would-be assassin managed to successfully take out the shooter with an incredibly difficult shot.

The anti-Trump gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was positioned on the roof of a BlackRock-owned building with a clear view of the 45th president as he spoke to the crown at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

However, Secret Service snipers struggled to get a clear shot on Crooks to eliminate the threat.

A “source familiar with the investigation into the shooting” reportedly told Fox News that the sniper who killed Crooks did so with a “one-in-a-million shot.”

The source said the kill shot was a single shot taken by a Secret Service counter-sniper whose view was obscured.

A local tactical team also took a shot at the would-be assassin, 20-year-old Crooks, but missed.

The Secret Service sniper who killed Crooks could only see Crooks’s gun scope and the top of his eye and forehead.

The lip of the roof was reportedly blocking the sniper’s view.

The news comes as more information about the botched security detail at Trump’s rally begins to emerge.

Security failings allowed Crooks to climb onto the roof of the building completely unchallenged, get a clear line of sight of Trump, and open fire on the 45th president.

Trump was wounded in the shooting an narrowly avoided death.

Two other people with injured in the crossfire.

Hero Trump supporter Corey Comperatore was tragically killed in the shooting, however.

Comperatore, the former Buffalo Township fire chief, was shot dead while shielding his family from the gunman’s bullets, saving his wife and daughter from harm in the process.

Comperatore, the former Buffalo Township fire chief, was shot dead while shielding his family from the gunman’s bullets, saving his wife and daughter from harm in the process.

Witnesses revealed that Comperatore’s last words were “Get down,” as he sought to protect his family.

The 50-year-old patriot lost his life when he was struck by a bullet meant for Trump.

The Secret Service agents who stopped the shooter and jumped to protect Trump are rightfully being praised.

However, the federal agency’s director, Kimberly Cheatle, who was appointed by Democrat President Joe Biden, has been harshly criticized for her handling of the matter.

The House Oversight Committee has now scheduled a hearing for Monday with Cheatle.

Cheatle is facing calls to resign from lawmakers over her agency’s handling of the Trump rally shooting.

However, she is refusing to step down.

The hearing, “Oversight of the U.S. Secret Service and the Attempted Assassination of President Donald J. Trump,” is scheduled to begin on Capitol Hill at 10 am Monday.

Cheatle is refusing to resign but House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) revealed that he may force the issue.

Johnson told FOX Business Thursday that he is prepared to call on Biden to fire her.

In a statement late Wednesday, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said:

“Continuity of operations is paramount during a critical incident, and U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has no intentions to step down.

“She deeply respects members of Congress and is fiercely committed to transparency in leading the Secret Service through the internal investigation and strengthening the agency through lessons learned in these important internal and external reviews.”

Cheatle was confronted by senators demanding answers when she showed up at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee this week.
