One of President Joe Biden’s top donors has issued a warning to Democrats over pushing Kamala Harris for the party’s presidential nomination.
Attorney John Morgan, a Biden megadonor, warns that running Harris as the nominee will hand the election to President Donald Trump.
Morgan argues that Trump and his supporters are hoping the Democrats choose Harris.
However, he warns that Harris is too far Left to win a general election, warning that running the vice president would be a gift to Trump.
After Biden announced Sunday that he is not going to seek re-election, Morgan told ABC News that he will “never” support Harris.
He asserted that he will stop fundraising for Democrats if Harris is their presidential nominee.
Morgan believes running Harris in the general election is a fool’s errand.
“If Trump World could pick anybody to run against, I think they pick her,” he told ABC News.
“If she’s a nominee, Mar-a-Lago has a real big party that night.”
Morgan also believes that Biden’s endorsement of Harris is a subtle message to his own party.
The Democrat elite essentially bullied Biden into stepping aside as Trump became the clear favorite to win the election.
Morgan suggested that Biden knows Harris can’t win so he’s endorsing her as revenge for being pushed out.
“Joe Biden’s endorsement of Kamala is his f**k you to all who pushed him out,” Morgan said.
“Be careful what you wish for.”
Morgan had donated $1 million to the Biden re-election effort.

However, rather than Harris, Morgan argues there are other Democrats who could replace Biden.
Morgan said the Democratic Party should choose to run Sen. Joe Manchin (I-WV), Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, or Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro as its nominee.
He also believes that former First Lady Michelle Obama would win in a “landslide.”
Obama, however, has repeatedly maintained that she has no interest in running for president.
Nevertheless, Biden insisted that he was staying in the race – until he wasn’t.
Barack Obama has also stopped short of endorsing Harris, saying he wants the nominee to be chosen at the “open” Democratic National Convention next month.
It has led to growing speculation that Obama wants his wife to be the face of his 4th term in the White House.
Meanwhile, Morgan’s suggestion that Biden endorsed Harris to sink his own party may have some weight to it.
Citing sources close to the president, Axios reported on Monday that Biden delayed his decision to withdraw from the race partially because he worried that Harris could not defeat Trump on Election Day.
Indeed, to say that Harris’ record as vice president has fallen short of expectations is an understatement.
Harris’s office has seen an incredible turnover in aides because of how the VP “treats her staff,” according to Axios.
Additionally, Harris is deeply unpopular and her top blemish is her lack of action regarding the border crisis, which she was tasked with tackling.
Moreover, Harris’s lone presidential campaign in the 2020 Democratic primary was a spectacular failure.
She never seriously competed for the nomination and was consistently at the bottom of the pile before she dropped out.
Morgan described Harris’s 2020 campaign as “not only … not good, it was horrible.”
And in his view, she’s the worst type of politician.
“I don’t think she’s authentic,” he told ABC News.
“All politicians are phony. Let’s start with that.
“But some seem really sincere, and some seem like what I call fake phony, and fake phony is the worst phony.
“And she f***ed over Joe Biden, and that’s why I’m never going to be for her,” he added.
