Republican Moves to Impeach Kamala Harris for ‘High Crimes and Misdemeanors’

A Republican congressman has moved to impeach Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris for “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) introduced articles of impeachment against Harris, citing her cover-up of Democrat President Joe Biden’s severely degraded mental and physical fitness.

In a statement, Ogles explained that he believes Harris “knowingly breached the public’s trust by failing to invoke the 25th Amendment after it became clear that Joe Biden was mentally and physically unfit to serve as president.”

He added that “immediate action must be taken.”

“Time and again, Kamala Harris has refused to uphold her oath to the U.S. Constitution, and she must be impeached,” Ogles said.

“Her breathtaking incompetence as Border Czar has allowed a crisis of drugs, rape, and murder to flood the streets of America.”

On June 27, Trump and Biden squared off in their first debate in Atlanta.

Biden’s trainwreck performance was followed by an avalanche of calls for the president to step down.

Since then, Biden has now stepped down as the Democrat nominee.

Meanwhile, Democratic Party power elites, including Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), and the Clintons, have coalesced around Harris in recent days.

Since launching her campaign, Harris has been moving forward as the nominee, bypassing any democratic process.

It is unclear how much support Ogles’ articles of impeachment will have from House Republicans, however.

Ogles faces a primary on August 1 against Nashville Metro Councilmember Courtney Johnston, according to The Associated Press (AP).

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton, a likely running mate for Harris, has been doubling down on her endorsement of the VP’s presidential campaign.

As reported earlier, Clinton made her case for a Harris presidency in a new op-ed for the New York Times.

“Elections are about the future,” Hillary writes.

“That’s why I am excited about Vice President Kamala Harris.

“She represents a fresh start for American politics.

“She can offer a hopeful, unifying vision.

“She is talented, experienced, and ready to be president.

“And I know she can defeat Donald Trump,” Clinton claims.

She made the case that Harris as a “savvy former prosecutor and successful vice president” could be the perfect contrast to the Republican 45th president.

However, she warned that Harris would allegedly face sexist attacks from “MAGA mouthpieces.”
