Harris Running Mate Tim Walz to Push for Americans to Pay ‘Carbon Tax’ to Comply with ‘Net Zero’

Kamala Harris has just struck fear into the hearts of many freedom-loving Americans by announcing that her 2024 running mate is globalist climate-radical Gov. Tim Walz.

If elected vice president, Walz, the Democrat governor of Minnesota, wants to push for Americans to pay a so-called “carbon tax” to ensure that the United States complies with the collectivist goals of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) “Net Zero” agenda.

Walz is hoping to continue with the green agenda policies that he’s been pushing in Minnesota but on a national level.

As governor, Walz signed bills requiring Minnesota to abandon affordable and reliable energy sources.

He also slapped the state with arbitrary electric vehicle (EV) mandates.

While in Congress, Walz also voted to support controversial cap-and-trade programs while pushing for a federal carbon tax.

Daniel Turner, founder and executive director of Power The Future, warns that Walz and Harris would see the U.S. fall deeper into economic crisis in favor of the WEF’s destructive green agenda.

“If you like the record prices and sky-high inflation delivered by the Biden-Harris energy agenda, you’re going to love Tim Walz,” Turner warns.

“As Governor, Tim Walz based his agenda on the failed California model which may endear him to Kamala Harris, but not to struggling families.

“Kamala Harris cast the tie-breaking vote for the failed Inflation Reduction Act, and in picking Tim Walz, it looks like she wants just another green rubber stamp.”

Tim Walz’s energy lowlights include:

In 2010, then-Rep. Walz (D-MN) voted in favor of cap-and-trade to issue charges for “greenhouse gas emissions.”

However, he argued that it’s “debatable” if such a system is better than just imposing a carbon tax on the American people.

In 2021, Gov. Walz tied Minnesota’s car rules to California’s.

The move forces more expensive electric vehicles upon working families.

In order to meet the WEF’s demands for “Net Zero,” Walz Signed a bill last year requiring Minnesota to buy 80 percent of its electricity from wind or solar within the next 6 years.

The bill mandates that the state must be using 100 percent “green” energy by 2040.

As of 2022, fossil fuels and nuclear provided nearly 70 percent of Minnesota’s electricity.

Walz’s push for a so-called “carbon tax” perfectly aligns with the agenda of the WEF.

As THAIMBC News previously reported, the WEF has been increasingly pushing for “global carbon taxes” to be ushered in by governments around the world.

Canada has already moved to comply with this agenda.

In April, the Canadian government signed an agreement with the WEF that will see Canada begin paying taxes to the unelected globalist organization to supposedly “fight climate change.”

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government signed the WEF’s Global Minimum Tax agreement.

The plan is part of the WEF’s New Global Tax Agenda.

Once the agreement has been signed by globalist nations worldwide, governments will be paying billions of dollars a year into the WEF’s Global Carbon Tax program.

The deal involves over 140 countries that have agreed to sign a multilateral international treaty consisting of two pillars.

The U.S. government has yet to sign the agreement, but the outcome of the November election could change that.

On Tuesday morning, the Harris campaign announced that Walz would be the Democrats’ vice presidential nominee on the party’s 2024 ticket.

confirmed earlier reports in a post on X, saying: “I am proud to announce that I’ve asked @Tim_Walz to be my running mate.

“As a governor, a coach, a teacher, and a veteran, he’s delivered for working families like his.

“It’s great to have him on the team.”

Many have been quick to point out that Harris and Walz make for a radical presidential ticket.

Aside from his radical climate policies, Walz has backed a number of far-left causes.

Axios’ Jacob Knutson recently noted, “Walz faced questions over how long it took him to send in the National Guard to stop the rioting, looting and arson in the Twin Cities for three nights following George Floyd’s murder.”

Shortly after he was confirmed as Harris’s running mate, members of the Marxist “Squad” of House Democrats endorsed Walz for vice president.

“Congratulations to our next Vice President,” Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) wrote on X.

The congresswoman continued by boasting that Walz is “Bringing Minnesota nice to the ticket.”

Omar also cheered Walz for “sign[ing] universal school meals, paid family and sick leave, marijuana legalization, and protections for reproductive rights into law.”

Fellow “Squad” member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) also threw her support behind Walz.

“Vice President Harris made an excellent decision in Gov. Walz as her running mate,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on X.

“Together, they will govern effectively, inclusively, and boldly for the American people.”
