The face masks that people were forced to wear during the Covid pandemic do far more harm than good, a new study is warning.
The scoping-review study reveals that the masks expose wearers to toxic particles.
Led by Professor Kai Kisielinski, the study was conducted by a team of leading researchers in Germany.
In the “Conclusion” section, the researchers note:
“Undoubtedly, mask mandates during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic have been generating an additional source of potentially harmful exposition to toxins with health-threatening and carcinogenic properties at the population level with almost zero distance to the airways.”
The study discovered high levels of microplastic and nanoplastic particles are released by the masks.
Specifically, the researchers found that those little plastic particles can be inhaled and should be considered toxic to wearers.
Moreover, they also found that volatile organic compounds are being released by the masks.
The researchers found traces of acrolein and phthalates along with other chemicals such as xylene, per- and poly-fluoroalkyl (PFAS) substances.
In addition, they discovered traces of toxic lead, cadmium, cobalt, copper, antimony, and titanium dioxide being released by the masks.
During their study, the researchers analyzed 1003 studies from the PubMed and MEDLINE databases.

Meanwhile, it has since emerged that masks did nothing to stop the spread of Covid.
Another study showed that masking in the general population is ineffective for viral respiratory illnesses.
Despite the growing body of evidence against the masks, health officials are still pushing for public masking.
As THAIMBC News reported earlier this week, Dr. Anthony Fauci has revealed that he has caught COVID-19 for the third time, despite being fully “vaccinated” and “boosted” for the virus.
Fauci admitted catching the virus again during an interview with Dr. Jeremy Faust.
In the clip, Fauci admits that he’s “vaccinated and boosted” with Covid mRNA shots “a total of six times.”
However, rather than question the efficiency of the injections, Fauci suggested that unmasked Americans are causing Covid to spread.
“I got infected about two weeks ago,” said Fauci.
“It was my third COVID-19 infection.
“And I had been vaccinated and boosted a total of six times.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Fauci revealed that he still wears masks, despite being fully “boosted” with mRNA shots.
In addition, Fauci is also calling for Americans to follow his lead and start masking up again, despite the pandemic being long over.
He made the call as hospitalizations and deaths from the mild virus remain at historic lows.
Fauci warned that members of the public “should be wearing a mask.”
“And you should be careful to avoid crowded places where you don’t know the status of other people,” he added.
“You should get vaccinated and boosted on a regular basis,” he warned.
