He stated that natural immunity from recovering from an infection is often more comprehensive and longer-lasting than vaccine-induced immunity. However, he clarified that the vaccines instruct cells to produce a spike protein and do not change human DNA. Osborn called for transparent communication from health authorities to dispel myths and address legitimate concerns about the long-term effects of the vaccine.
Dr. Marc Siegel, a senior medical analyst for Fox News and clinical professor of medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center, recommended the updated COVID vaccines for high-risk groups. He believes the vaccines remain effective at decreasing the risks of severe disease and long COVID. While he acknowledged that the vaccines are not perfect, he stated that the risks of the virus, including myocarditis and brain fog, are far greater.
