A video has emerged online that exposes the stark difference in CNN anchor Dana Bash’s interview style while she’s speaking with Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance when compared with the Democrat ticket.
Bash’s softball interview last week with Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz provoked a backlash for being too friendly.
It was the first time Harris had spoken with the media in over a month since launching her campaign.
However, the interview was pre-planned, pre-recorded, and heavily edited before it was broadcast, despite CNN stating that it was “live” in the chevron.
Harris also refused to do the interview solo and had Walz there to hold her hand throughout.
The video that’s gone viral online highlights the alarmingly favorable bias of the legacy media, specifically CNN, toward Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democrat’s 2024 presidential nominee.
The video, which was cut by The Washington Free Beacon, highlights the alarmingly favorable bias of the corporate media.
It simply splices together clips from two interviews conducted by Bash: one interviewing Harris and Walz, and the other with Vance.
The video shows Bash pressing Vance with biased questions and focusing on comments the senator made even before he entered politics.
However, when Bash is interviewing Harris, the CNN anchor uses a softer tone and does not follow up.
Bash even prefaces her questions with possible answers for Harris to choose from.

The clip quickly garnered reactions from several prominent accounts on X.
Republican strategist Andrew Surabian shared the video and commented:
“Watch this video and see if you can spot the difference between how CNN treated [JD Vance] versus how they treated Kamala and Walz.
“How can any honest journalist defend this?”

“Behind her back, Dana Bash’s colleagues in the media have been savaging her performance in the Harris interview – and for good reason,” Luke Thompson revealed.
“It was an exercise in hackery.
“Yet Harris still somehow botched a softball interview.”

President Donald Trump’s advisor Jason Miller sarcastically reacted:
“There is no media bias in the way Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are treated vs. the way JD Vance and President Trump are treated.
“None whatsoever.”

“This video is pretty damning,” Philip Klein commented.
“There’s just a dramatic difference between how she argued with Vance and the kid gloves approach with Harris and Walz.”

“This is an incredible video showing just how combative and dismissive Bash was with Vance, 1:1, versus how effusive and easy she was with Kamala/Walz, 2:1,” Geoffrey Ingersoll said.
