MSNBC Anchor Makes Excuses for Harris Not Giving ‘Clear and Direct Answers’ in Interview: ‘That’s Okay’

After Kamala Harris provided a series of word salad statements during her Wednesday interview with Stephanie Ruhle, the MSNBC anchor is already making excuses for the Democrat presidential nominee.

During an interview with fellow MSNBC anchor Chris Hayes, Ruhle argued that it’s “okay” that Harris didn’t provide her with any “clear and direct answers.”

According to Ruhle, “That’s okay because we’re not talking about clear and direct issues.”

Ruhle was quick to defend the presidential candidate and her consistent inability to give clear answers about any of her policies.

However, if refusing to answer questions directly is “okay,” it remains unclear why Ruhle even interviewed Harris in the first place.

Ruhle told Hayes:

“One could watch and say she didn’t give a clear and direct answer.

“And that’s okay because we’re not talking about clear and direct issues.”

Harris was crowned the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate without a single primary vote.

She became the nominee when President Joe Biden was effectively forced to step aside by Democrat elites.

However, since jumping to the top of her party’s ticket, Harris has rarely taken questions.

On those rare occasions when she has taken questions, Harris has attempted to avoid answering them.

Her attempts to dodge questions during Wednesday’s interview appear to have fallen flat, judging from Ruhle’s rapid attempts to run cover for her.

Several video clips of her answers suggested that she was delivering more of the same rambling, unintelligible word salad non-answers that have marked her tenure as vice president.

Harris has previously pledged to usher in communist-style policies to tackle price gouging, despite having no evidence that it is actually happening.

When asked how she intended to fight price gouging without implementing Soviet-style price controls, she pivoted and completely dodged the question by rambling for almost one minute straight.

“So, just to be very frank, I am never going to apologize for going after companies and corporations that take advantage of the desperation of the American people,” Harris said.

However, she made no real move to answer the question.

Instead, she rambled some more about disasters like weather-related events or the Covid pandemic and repeated her promise to prevent price gouging.

Again, she provided no evidence for the alleged price gouging.

“Yes, I’m going to go after them, yeah, I’m going to go after them, and that’s part of a more comprehensive plan on what we can do to bring down the cost of living, including housing, including the everyday needs of the American people,” she continued.

As MSNBC noted when they announced it, Ruhle’s interview marked Harris’s first solo network appearance since becoming the Democrat nominee.

She did one pre-recorded interview with friendly CNN anchor Dana Bash.

However, Harris’s running mate Governor Tim Walz joined to guide her through Bash’s softball questions.

Prior to landing the interview, Ruhle argued on comedian Bill Maher’s show that it didn’t matter whether or not Harris ever answered any real policy questions.

She insisted that the only thing that matters is that Harris is not President Donald Trump.
