‘Sopranos’ Actress Drea de Matteo Blasts Pro-Democrat Celebrities: ‘I Question Their Integrity’

“Sopranos” star Drea de Matteo has blasted liberal Hollywood celebrities such as George Clooney and Meryl Streep for using their influence to promote Democrats.

During a Wednesday appearance on Fox Business, the actress said:

“I’m still a super liberal so I feel like it’s time for us all to come together but a lot of people on the Left are afraid.

“George Clooney, Meryl Streep, all of these huge celebrities endorsing war, supporting Dick Cheney.”

“I don’t understand the inversion and how people have flipped unless they’re ‘under the gun’ so to speak …

“I find it hard to believe that people like George Clooney or Meryl Streep don’t actually know what’s going on,” she added.

“Maybe they should use their bank accounts to support what’s happening in the world right now.”

The 52-year-old went on to rail against the current state of the entertainment industry.

“I think that Hollywood is meaningless,” she said.

“The American Dream is on hold.

“I feel like Hollywood is dead.

“The music industry is dead …

“There’s no … artistic movement speaking out about this …

“You don’t see fine art,” the actress continued.

“There’s usually protest art about wars and censorship.

“We’re stagnant right now,” de Matteo said.

“I find it interesting to see these celebrities that are endorsing a situation that is the antithesis of what they once stood for as celebrities sort of and freedom of everything.

“Speech, art, integrity – I question their integrity right now.”

This isn’t the first time the actress spoke out against celebrities and their political involvement.

As THAIMBC News reported, during a June interview on Fox News’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” de Matteo claimed that Hollywood is full of “quiet” supporters of President Donald Trump.

However, she suggested that Hollywood stars and other celebrities are being paid to publicly support Kamala Harris, President Joe Biden, and the Democrats.

Host Jesse Watters played a montage of the actors who claim to support Biden, who was the Democrat nominee at the time before he was replaced with Harris.

Watters then asked the actress if there were supporters of Trump in the deep-blue entertainment industry.

“There are a lot of quiet Trump supporters,” she said.

“There are a lot of Kennedy supporters.

“And wow, I wonder how much the actors got paid to endorse Biden at this point.”

De Matteo then commented on Hollywood star Robert de Niro giving an unhinged speech outside Trump’s “hush money” trial in New York City in June.

“I’m curious, because that seems — I wonder if De Niro got paid a locations fee because he had to travel to the courtroom to do that,” she said.
