Trump Sues CBS for $10 Billion Over Deceptive Edit of Kamala Harris ’60 Minutes’ Interview

Donald Trump issued a $10 billion lawsuit to CBS News on Thursday over deceptive broadcasting conduct practices by their show 60 Minutes related to their October 7 interview with Kamala Harris, something Trump attempted to remedy with a letter on October 21 requesting the full Kamala Harris interview transcript.

“Trump attorneys said the complaint comes due to ‘CBS’ partisan and unlawful acts of election and voter interference through malicious, deceptive, and substantial news distortion calculated to confuse, deceive, and mislead the public’,” Fox News said Thursday. “Trump attorneys also argued the edits were done in an effort to ‘attempt to tip the scales in favor of the Democratic Party as the heated 2024 Presidential Election — which President Trump is leading — approaches its conclusion’.”

Alex Jones commented on the cringe Harris 60 Minutes interview on October 8.

CBS claimed the Harris transcript was not doctored, however it also refused to release the full transcript, citing the First Amendment.

The interest for the full Harris interview stems from the ‘word salad‘ the Democrat candidate is known to produce when speaking extemporaneously without a teleprompter.

“On Sunday, 60 Minutes teased Kamala’s highly-anticipated sit-down interview with one of her worst word salads to date, which received significant criticism on social media. During the full interview on Monday evening, the word salad was deceptively edited to lessen Kamala’s idiotic response. Why did 60 Minutes choose not to air Kamala’s full word salad, and what else did they choose not to air? The American people deserve the full, unedited transcript from Kamala’s sit- down interview. We call upon 60 Minutes and CBS to release it. What do they, and Kamala, have to hide?” – Karoline Leavitt, National Press Secretary said in the Trump Campaign statement on October 8.

“‘Trump is demanding a jury trial and at least $10 billion in damages for CBS’ alleged ‘ongoing false, misleading, and deceptive acts; the attorneys’ fees and costs associated with this action; and such other relief as the court deems just and proper’,” Fox News said Thursday.
